曲最初のシンセと打ち込みっぽいドラムが単調な印象で妙な雰囲気を作っている。
（なんか魚氏っぽいけどクレジットによると絡んでない）
しかしAメロのずっと静かな感じからサビに入るとグッと盛り上がるように展開する構成は「フォロー・ミー」を思わせるが、こっちのが断然静かというか暗く感じる。
その辺はやはり歌詞によるものだろう。
昭乃さんの曲は大体抽象的というかある風景や情景が浮かぶような歌詞が多いのだが、この曲の歌詞（特にサビ部分）は結構直接的に、こちらに訴えかけてくる。
まあ昭乃さんのことだからストレートにまんまって事はないのだろうけど・・・この歌詞はどう聞いても某半島北の脱北者の兄弟を歌った歌のように聞こえる。
国境の河を目指して逃げる兄弟、でも途中で別れてしまう・・・ってサビまんまなんだけど本当にそう言う意図の歌詞なのかどうかは分からないけどスプートニクみたいな例もある。
想像できる風景がフィクションじゃなくて実際起こっていることだけに余計重く感じるし重い曲である。
