Who cares about him having Van Zant blood. Barely! He is the bastard son of Ronnie's Fathers, Brother. He is a distant cousin who wanted to cash in on the Van Zant name! Sorry I have to disagree with you (ishawnm) There is not ANYONE who can play better than Gary Rossington or Allen Collins. They are legends! And Yeah..I throw Artimus Pyle in there with them. Together along with Billy Powell and Ronnie, they were an unstoppable force. never cared for King or Gains

And for all of you who believe that Ronnie Van Zant would think this crap is funny....All I can say is we MUST be talking about two different Ronnies'! 'cause the Ronnie *I* am talking about would be kicking his ass all over that stage! Ronnie would rather fight than eat when he was hungry..he didn't need much of a reason either....

His real name is Jimmy Kelsay. I don't have a problem with Artimus still playing music. I actually like hearing him on drums. I do have a problem with the fact that he relies solely on Skynyrd's songs to do so. Especially since Him & Gary had a huge fight about it. Artimus didn't want them to call themselves Lynyrd Skynyrd since Ronnie was gone. Seems like to me he is really doing the same thing...riding that wave...
