It is not "tracking" ..suposed to be "trickling information"

Very impressive.
But @ 27'55 someone can't spell "tracking"...
.. perhaps the extra 'h' is a Higgs particle that has been hiding in the powerpoint all along..
I'm 50 in feb '09 and I want to be as near to creation as I can get.. so I'm going to CERN..

Wow, I can't believe that even on videos like this, someone is still capable of starting a childish fued.
There are some incredibly childish, pathetic, and hypocritical people around. And youtube is the ultimate dwelling for it. As clearly proven by deeppunch. Well done.

I think it's safe to say that the data will be shared. After all that's the #1 reason to build the GRID. The LHC, like its predecessors isn't for a selected group of scientists, it's by- and for the whole particle physics community. How they approach the public? Unless securing their jobs is their top priority (which i doubt), they'll disclose any discovery, even if it disproves with their current models.

Hehe.. so much controversy. "If mass can curve space, then curved space has mass" is symmetrical. I *do* dissagree with "throwing out the boring majority" of interraction. Don't! Measure the overall pattern of the boring stuff, too. After all, sometimes you can only find the man on the stairs, who isn;t there, by the shadow he casts.

My real concern is not with the data queries, which she is obviously emphasizing in a room full of Google affiliates, hoping for some luck (google being one of the largest ,if not largest, data query processors, haha). It's also funny that the code for processing is made public, but not the results. My concern is with how the physicists that do get significant results, will bring about the findings. Perhaps they will chose not to publicly announce their findings, and keep it for private purpose.

There is no such word as "pedo", and my web site makes no threats to kids. Be aware that posting messages to public forums which make false accusations of wrongdoing against others is libel, which is an actionable civil tort. (That means you can be sued.)
But my web site has nothing to do with string theory, supersymmetry, or the Higgs boson, which are the topics of this conversation. *Again*, you are off-topic. If you have no interest in these topics, you are posting in the wrong place.
lonewolfintj (May 26, 2008 at 5:05 am)
You mean, you exceeded your comments quota, so you feel you have to continue your spew under a different identity. Seems mentally ill to me. What do your comments have to due with string theory, supersymmetry, or the Higgs boson, which are the topics of this converstation? Again, if you cannot converse cordially, intelligently, and on-topic, you'll be much happier conversing elsewhere. Thank you.

Just what is a "money person"? And what do you comments about "interrogation techniques" have to do with string theory, supersymmetry, or the Higgs boson, which are the topics of this conversation? This is not a discussion of Blackwater or waterboarding.
lonewolfintj (May 26, 2008 at 4:58 am)
Here you post YET ANOTHER off-topic, ad-hominem rant, in which you give lip service to "not putting people down", then proceed to do NOTHING BUT attempt (futilely) to "put people down". AGAIN, what do your comments have to do with string theory, supersymmetry, or the Higgs boson? Those are the topics of this conversation. If you don't understand the topics, please leave the conversation. You'll be much happier discussing something else, somewhere else, with someone else. Thanks. |
