He is playing a cornet, the reason he is playing a cornet is because it this song lays great on cornet and its very difficult on trumpet

Cornet, piccolo trumpet, mosquito maxilla, Geiger counter or the fu**ing thing he's playing... He plays it like a master. And it's a delight to hear it.

i've been playing the cornet for six years and that is without a question a cornet. Also, the piece was originally written for the cornet

Its a Bb Cornet with a Shepard's Crook design and no one would ever think to play Carnival of Venice with a piccolo trumpet to ever consider it would be ridiculous! |
