This movie is amazing. this movie is based on Dieters experiences and his opinions. Very well put together. Shows the power and diligence it takes to survive.

Purely as a film (standard of acting, cinematography, e.t.c.) I think it was great. Really hard hitting. However, I'm disappointed with some of the accuracy problems. Herzog is an intelligent guy - he could have avoided these without compromising his artistic licence. I'd have appreciated subtitles for when the Pathet Lao/Viet Cong were speaking. Given that their civilians were being bombed to pieces, their view on things deserved more exposure. It wasn't just Americans who suffered.

I know, I was so shocked when Duane died. My heart fell and I wanted to cry. But I'm glad he died, it gave the movie climax and emotion. Herzog is outstanding!

Werner Herzog took my breath away in this film! Christian Bale and Steve Zahn we're OUTSTANDING. The plot-line was very well-thought out. If you are considering seeing this movie, don't. GO SEE IT!
