Very true limitations in further developments in the motor industry due emissions laws and other stupid limitations by federal governments have impacted in the progression of the motor industry. Interestingly Vector Motors have a development the Vector WX8 a vehicle with 1380kW/1850HP that has plans to become the fastest production car in the world exceeding the Bugatti Veyron, SSC Ultimate Aero TT and the Koenigsegg.

Beyond 2000 was a great show! People just never took advantage of the ideas that it proposed. Very sad... we could have been many years ahead by now.
