nevermind the video- just listen with a good green spliff and it all makes perfect sense

Wasn't aware pigs were snooty or self seeking even though considered intelligent.
Maybe most of us fight and struggle through life, 'dabbling with those types' is a dream.
I agree that Laurie's mould is truly original, inovative, and interesting.
To quote her when asked what's so good about interesting. 'Interesting is... different.'

I don't quite understand "swilling with the pigs" being that it means greedily partaking in food or drink with the snooty self-seeking individuals". I'm sure you don't mean you and/or i ("most of us") dabble with those types. Most fans of Laurie Anderson probably don't. =] I'm just happy she continues to push her performance art to new grounds. She creates the mold that others follow. Good for Lauri!

this is really scary. She was so ahead of her time. Did she know it? Was the voice real? All she's singing about has come to pass... Said Neo in "The Matrix" : "Woah"...

A message generally viewed from a middle-class pedestal is often misunderstood. Most of us swilling with the pigs see Laurie as the most perceptive living US American. A rare commodity.
