Actually I think she is from Turkey. Her "singing" sounds turkish and her surname - Hasan is not Bulgarian, it's turkish.

That sort of thing was bound to happen in versions of American Idol in non-English speaking country. What she did with her "English" is nothing you. In France it's called yoghurt English, that sounds about like English, but it's nothing like English. Anyone who wants to sing a song in English but doesn't know the lyrics will do it. The only novel thing about her performance is that she'd be shameless enough to sing it without even bothering to learn the lyrics.
