if i was in nam i would personally not used the m16 (im a aug and p90 fan) no i would have tryed to get my hands on a Ppsh (russian drum semiautomatic rifle) or a tommy gun with a 70 round drum clip :) as for side arm .45 magnum :)

A good hit with a 5.56 round will take you out immediatly. A bad hit and you'll maybe be able to shoot back. That's why its recommended to shoot an enemy three times to make sure he's dead. A bad hit with a 7.62 will strike you down, making you unable to continue fighting. A good hit will kill you within one or two seconds. It's all about the amount of energy the bullet delivers to your body. If it's high enough, a single hit into the arm will down you and in about a minute kill you.

It's not that simple dude, installing a gas piston system dosen't automaticly give you AK47 reliability.
