I ordered the DVD box set (6 lectures in all) of The Unanswered Question from "moviesunlimited".
Wonderful! Bernstein IS truly a musical genius!

Try Berklee and USC teachers and students. They all (I know a few of them personally) worship Bernstein as one of the true geniuses of the 20th century.

Fortunately I have seen all the Bernstein Havard sessions on vhs video. I look forward to buying them on DVD. These sessions answer(ed) a lot of my questions as a professional musician. This is pure genius. He has (had) the rare talent not to crush us with his genius, but to encourage us to get to work and make great music. A true teacher.

You know, the sad thing is that a lot of people I've spoken with just give a blank look when asked who Leonard Bernstein was. Shame really, what a brilliant man!

Not only a legend of conducting, but a great great great pianist.

This is wonderful. Music is a language in itself, it is universal and predated spoken/written language.
