I strongly feel that calling the Clash punk is revisionist history. They are a rock band. Punk in attitude maybe, but musically so much more advanced than any punk band ever was. They used the Irish horns for fucks sake. And I love punk, but I just can't label The Clash punk with how versatile they were.

they couldnt have if joe was alive, after tha clash split up in 87, the record company disputed the rights to there songs and, after years of court the court ruled theat the clash could never record or perform under the name "the Clash". unfourtanatly that happened, i would have loved to see a runion
