You are being much too hard on yourself, none of us are immune to mistakes. In the finals she sang the Gounod/Bach version. I would love to hear her sing the Schubert, her voice is just perfect for that one.

You are absolutely right...I was listening to Schubert's version just before I turned on this one I guess I got mixed up...of course this one is Gounod/Bach...I feel like an idiot now. Didn's she sing the Schubert's version in the finals? We, here in Hawaii, don't get to watch this show...so I depend on YouTube...thanks for correcting me...gosh...what a stupid mistake I made!

Well you are right it is not opera. It is classical. Faryl quite rightly describes herself as a classical singer. It is those who don't really know the difference who keep calling her an opera singer. Faryl never sings opera arias.

She is from Kettering in Northamptonshire. She won the solo under 15 class at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod at the age of 10. She also sings in two choirs and plays for a successful girl's football team. If you type "Faryl interview" in the YT search bar you will see a number of interviews with her where she talks about BGT and the live tour. She will start recording a CD in Sept. She has already recorded one song with Andrew Johnston. No release date yet.

Sorry, but this the Gounod/Bach Ave Maria. I prefer the Schubert myself.

It's Schubert's Ave Maria, sung in latin...one of the best classics out there...sung by many, incl. Pavarotti...

She is absoleutly amazing. and by the way it's not opera it''s called choir. opera is deep then high but choir is always high.

I wouldn't say 30. She looks probably 16ish to me. She SOUNDS like a 30-year-old professional opera singer, though.
