I know Love Will Tear Us Apart is sacred ground, but tons of people have covered it and done much worse versions. They pick great songs to cover by my favorite bands, and most of the versions are definitely worth having if you're a hardcore fan of the original versions like I am. I've got all of the Joy Division and most of the early New Order, but like the N.V.'s versions enough to buy their CD's as well. Ian had a sense of humor and I don't think he would have taken offense I.M.H.O.

that song maybe but they covered this + the joy division classic... and trashed it..... why ? it doesn't have the edgeyness that the originals have.. are they just a cover band? perhaps let them write their own music instead.

ouch, -6 comments, NEW ORDER IS MY FAVORITE BAND!!!!! I find it difficult to be public about my love of this band, because a lot of people think its 'gay'.

ppl usually just say "oh so ugly cant be compared to the real singer" just because its a cover. I agree dat nothing beats the real song coz the real singer was the one who created the sound, but I think not all cover are bad, its simply different. and covering a song doesnt mean that the singer wanna beat the original song. its more like becoz they love the song and respect the singer.

You guys are being too harsh...I have almost everything by Joy Division and New Order and think this has it's place...they're just having fun with their covers so don't take it so seriously! Their version of too drunk to fuck is a classic.

lol i kinda like this band but for their style they have a very odd taste in cover song choices. this one reminds me of richard cheese (search him if you dont know who he is, he's awesome)
