What a beautiful song, one of the PMG's best. And don't forget Steve Rodby's amazing bass playing on this song--"I've got blisters on me fingers!!"

i first fell in love with this song, about 20 years ago when a friend suggested i listen to it. it is so sad, yet hopeful kind of like if Pat Methany had written the Pachelbel Canon for the previous generation. one of my all time faves, right up there with Axis: Bold as Love by none other than...every time I see this, I have to watch SVR and his brother play together on the same guitar, you guys seen that vid?

Special mix of melancholy and sadness here. The title says so much about the feeling of getting back home, yet, leaving something or someone behind, inevitably. RAMTHA, you'll sure enjoy the encounter!

I dedicate this song to my Mother, who died April 2nd, 2008, and my baby sister who died of leukemia on Good Friday of '93. Bless you my Loved Ones. See you at the Train Station.

I first heard this as a keybord player in a combo on Sunset Beach, Florida in early 1988. It was part of a collection of break tunes played after our first set. I never heard it again until 1999, because I did not know the ttitle or artist. What a haunting melody! |
