AWESOME! I always knew teeth could re-mineralize; holistic cultures that do not eat western processed foods have less dental problems than in 'civilized' cultures with their highly processed food diets; but it's been a challenge to find any information on this - I've even heard of Asian cultures where they actually grow back teeth they lose... although, like I said, finding info has been hard - it's great to discover someone exposing this info. Thank you for sharing [08!

Quick note: Dr. Judd also recommended taking supplemental calcium (1000 mg per day) with the MSP. If you do not take calcium there will be an imbalance. Both calcium and MSP are needed.

Dr. Judd's recommendations are 1 gram per 165-170 pounds of body weight. So divide 170 by 4 and that is 1/4 gram per 42.5 pounds and X that by 3 and you get 127.5 (close to 130!) so 3/4 of a gram would work. Hope this makes sense. :-)

Whoops, I forgot that I did have braces on my upper teeth when I was twelve and also wore a headgear for about a year!

When it comes to the best diet, ultimately, one needs to find what works best for their individual body. Every body is so unique and different when it comes to what foods are best for them. Check out metabolic typing as it addresses the unique body chemistry of each individual.

Fortunately, Greg was able to strengthen his teeth again by incorporating goat's milk and a few eggs into his diet. Another thing is it is sooooo important to get your vitamin D! Renegade dentist Dr. Ted Spence says, "My anti-caries program is simple--no fluoride, no sugar, but lots of butter, cod liver oil, dairy, and vitamin D rich foods. It works wonders."

Greg Westbrook, author of "When Hallelujah Becomes What Happened?", writes, "For most of my life my teeth have been fairly hard and fairly resistant to decay. But there were 2 times in my life when my teeth got soft and riddled with decay. This happened in 1986 after 6 years on a meatless diet and again in 1998 after three years on an all raw diet. In both cases I went to the dentist to discover that I had over 10 cavities in my mouth."

My colleague Chet Day has had many vegan health enthusiasts contact him over the years telling him of their crumbling, brittle, and cracked teeth. When I asked him about this he said, "Regarding vegan diet and bad teeth, I would guesstimate that I've heard from at least a hundred people over the years, all of whom had varying problems with their teeth. The worst reports came from those who tried to be fruitarians, with strict vegans next in line, especially those that drank distilled water."

See the westonaprice (org) site for proper eating recommendations. Your diet/saliva is not remineralizing your teeth. Regarding the staining, TS contains zero abrasives so Tooth Brightener must be used 1-2 times a week to remove common food stains. You might also want to try our new Tooth Swish that contains 84 ionic minerals to remineralize teeth. |
