from a musicians point of view, im in a metal band, and i have a lot of slower acoustic ideas that will never fit with the band im in, thus i use those ideas on my own. in Dallas's case, both of his musical outlets are amazing. His hard ideas are just as good to his softer ideas. At least to someone who likes both styles of music. my favorite part to alexisonfire is dallas, so this is like all the parts of alexis i like, the whole time.

He just jams more, which is a lot easier with a band than doing it by yourself and looking like a goon.

I know but everyone, especially in the music business is expected to change, not saying he has to. Just he does.

Actually, he doesn't HAVE to do anything.

i like him with the band better
you can tell he's more comfortable with it

Dude you have to expect that he is going to play some new stuff, its decent too. Realize that he is getting bigger and the demand for new material is high, so he has to meet those expectations. Even though us true fans are old school.
