I like how they showed so many of the new characters like even the autobot triple changers in the opening. The US version made very little notice of those guys.

actually... the fist two seasons of Transformers were present day (IE 1985) the second two seasons were "20 years later" (IE 2005), however the Japanese timeline changed it to 2010... there's a slight gap in there, which is filled by Kiss Players and thanks to a recent retcon Car Robots.

2010... does that mean Transformers will start attacking Japan 2 more years from now? I pity the Japanese...ALWAYS had monsters or evil robots attacking their country...but luckily they have a lot super heroes to save the day! E.g: Ultraman,Sailormoon, Gundams,etc.
