Dundee... do not get confuse. jewish people MAY LIVE IN PALESTINE for now but it will NEVER BE THEIR HOMELAND. As long as there is a palestinian child who has seen his or her family member suffer hardships bc of zionist regim, it is never over.

All I can say is that the "goal" of zionism has been achieved already..."the establishment of a homeland for Jewish people in Palestine"....so I cannot fathom why there are so many "zionists" living all over the world when the diaspora has the "right of return" to live in Israel.

Must sign off, early morning tomorrow.

Thanks for the answer. Just wanted to clarify.
Again, I am not a Zionist but I do not get your idea that Zionists should all live in Israel, does not make sense. I do not pretend to be an expert on mid-east situation, or Israel/Palestinian problem. As a World citizen I just want to some sort of a neg. peaceful resolution for all of the people of Israel, something that would bring harmony for all Pal. and Jewish people. Too many posters here are like Amad. and want destruction of Israel. Sad!

The West Bank which is being populated by the most extreme zionists...many of whom seem to speak with North American and Hendon accents....seems to me people full of hatred in a place where their hatred is useful to the cause of zionism. The Saudis offered a peace plan in 2002 offering full recognition etc etc for 1967 borders, almost the same deal in fact that clinton et al claim was offered to arafat..what happened..nothing it was dismissed by Israelis and the US govt.

I already did ...I said "absolutely" I don't think I can be any clearer....

Well the Trojan war analogy doesn't quite make it as the two nation states were at war at the time. So the giving land back theory ...well you have to decide if you want to be a part of the International community or not ...you can't cherry pick which laws you will adhere to and which you won't. Israel in its present state has the ability to obliterate all its neighbours and most of europe ..and while you could make a "security" argument for the Golan ...it does not work for Gaza and the WB.

Please humour me and give me a difinitive answer to my question, does Israel have the right to exist, Yes, or no?
zincanodes (July 26, 2008 at 4:31 am)
Actually it was UN Security Council of which I spoke. Under the former Sec.Gen. Anaan.
In your last ref. to Barak, there was lots of heroism and glory to go around way back in TROY! The survival argument is not an old poem my friend it is real life, think about it! I cannot really think of a country that would not keep territory of an invading army when it drove the agressor back, try to be honest here. How many neighbours of Israel would give land back to Israel under same circumstances?

Well if you are criticising the UN you should add israel to the cesspool of corruption as well...the difference again is there is plenty of criticism in the west for all those you have mentioned but israel wants to commit its brutality with acceptance from the west.
And as for your "survival" argument....what was the old poem ...when they came for the communists...etc etc....truth is as I said before it was a natural sympathy for the SA based on the nature of its "struggle" with its indigenous |
