Well his dream came true , he wanted to be remember by the next generations of musicians. I must admit his music is a little boring but there are some really good pieces in it too, ofcourse its just a matter of taste.

This just proves that Salieri was a great compuser. Mozart, Bethoveen were genius, but Salieri was very good too. Unfortuanly, and due to some misundertandings people tend to think that Salieri was a bad guy and he wasnt. Actually, as someone said here, he was Mozart´s friend, and what they had was those little conflits between artists.

I don't think that anybody can deny Salieri's talent. But, from my point of view, nothing to compare with Mozart's. But i find silly to be always comfronting a composer with an other. Everyone had his own style and his own talent.

Con este bello conciero, Salieri no tendría porque envidiar a Mozart.

I agree, but Salieri is so straight, so direct, so pre-romantic... That's what I condemn in Romantism: the destruction of great names.

Little do people know that many great classical composers like Beethoven and Listz ( considered by many to be the greatest pianist of all time )during their adolescent years studied composition under Salieri! But, I do agree that Mozart and Haydn during this period were far more interesting to listen too! R R *

Actually, Salieri had a pretty big influence. Mozart was just known as the child prodigy. As Mozart's popularity rose, Salieri's music was forgotten. Salieri was still the court Kapellmeister even as Mozart's popularity rose.
