Masterowa: Your vision of humanity makes no sense. In every person there is good and bad. Indeed nobody is "perfect". It would be a boring world if everybody was. There are as many good people as there healthy people. You compare people to a "perfect, and imaginary god". What sense does that make ?

just because you did not know them deep enough to realize that no-one is good. But every 'good person' knows his/hers sins and I would focus on ourselves. Besides, what is your definition of good person? Someone who is nice? - i met a lot of nice thieves. What is a moral standard for a good person? To who do you compare when you judge it? In God's eyes there is no-one good, because comparing to his holiness we are all guilty. And in our Lord we are free - do not feel sorry for us.

Just wanted to understand what we understand by religion. What does religion in general mean to us? Sometimes the religious texts are misinterpreted and preached to us. Can we not read and think for ourselves how that knowledge or teaching can help us in our daily life?

Thanks for admitting that nobody's perfect. Many are good, but religion does not foster being a good person. Religion teaches that those who believe the same thing are superior to al others. Religion teaches to make divisions among peopl. Religion condones hate and wars. Religion is not a helper, but it hinders unity among all people. People without religion have an advantage. They are not bound by senseless dogma, and are free to actually BE good people. Religion is a speed bump for good.

The principle of toleration is controversial. Some may see in it an inappropriate implication that the "tolerated" is an aberration. On the other hand, defenders of toleration may define it as involving positive regard for difference . Toleration and tolerance are terms used in social, cultural and religious contexts to describe attitudes and practices that prohibit discrimination against those practices or group memberships that may be disapproved of by those in the majority.

got2liv4him:"I have never met a truly good person" Typical christian conclusion with his ideology of " sin". I am really sorry for you man. I met many really good persons.
