I just read in the paper that Ian and two of his buddies just got indicted for their role in the event. I find that depressing because a lot of their supporters had spent a huge amount of time making up lies, trying to get their stories straight, hiding video tapes of the event, and filing false complaints against the police. I'm sad that their efforts to support these douchebag protesters and fry some innocent cops didn't work. Our justice system is broken when hippies can't lie to get justice.

I'm not sure why I care, but why do people make comments about things they are completely uninformed about? If folks actually took the time to be informed, they'd realize that the police beating had NOTHING to do with the obviously street-theater prop water bottle, as Ian Van Ornum was clubbed, had his head slammed on the pavement and was Tasered twice AFTER the spray bottle was completely out of the picture. Again: are the people posting friends of cops or just ignoramuses (or both?)
