She isn't trying to get him back because she's with someone, too; witness the scene where she lets the new girlfriend try on her wedding/engagement ring. She's saying it's "cool" they've both moved on and are happy with other people, even though their history will always be special.

I agree. It's a much more evolved sounding song than Don't Speak. Break-ups are tough. So it's probably not any easier trying to articulate the feelings into a song. |
