excellent. thank u fritz. this song reminds me of madonna's songs for some reason. the catchy swing of the melody. i bet she was influenced by 60's pop a lot. that's why she's the best

Tommy Roe's followup to this, "Jack and Jill" is great, too.

The set decor -- it's like a bunch of Republicans trying to imagine what an acid trip might be like. One saw a lot of that on '60s TV shows.

start listening at 0.11 until bout 0.40 and you'll notice the introduction and main drum beat for the song Dani California of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. and The Loving Spoonful's Hot Town Summer in the City song and the way they sing the line "hot town summer in the city" is similar to how they sing some lines in Dani California. I've noticed tons of similarities of new songs with older songs. :) BTW I like the Dani California song. just happened to notice it myself by ear.

Wow. This takes me back to my cousin's garage in San Diego as a kid. We didn't even have a radio, and she had one in her room AND in her garage. We were in awe. I heard this song and swore to myself I was going to beg, plead, pout, and otherwise harass my mother until she us got a radio! (my sister and I each got our own little transistor radios. Bliss!)Sing on, Tommy! You're still making me dizzy!

Second song I learned on guitar at age six. First was "Rain" by The Beatles. Excellent Bubblegum.
