This song reminds me of Whittier back in the 70's. I grew up in a White neighborhood, but this song always reminded me of who I was. El Guapo :)

While I agree that YouTube and the internet in general are an incredible resource for finding anything from music to information to even people, I would not blame classic rock stations for not playing this song. It's much more of a "oldies" station tune, you know? Like the old CJGM or Q92.

Hey, Steveo, our common experience here is proof that classic rock radio has been asleep at the switch when it comes to keeping this classic song in steady rotation. YouTube is now the best music station on the planet.

Haha, That's so funny. I just found this song after 30 years of wondering if I would ever hear it again. Yes, THANKS to YouTube. I had even called radio stations I sang to the DJ in my terrible voice the only line I could remember "Never, no no, yeah, I never met a girl like you in my life". Even my most knowledgeable music friends could not identify it. Anyway, I just typed in that line from the song and my mystery was solved as well. It is also great to HEAR it again!

Damn! This is the song I was always trying to recall whenever I heard the dreamy chorus to Sugar Ray's song "Every Morning." It's a direct steal from "Suavecito's" la la laaa-aha refrain. A long-time mystery is finally solved by the miracle of YouTube.
