TenorDrummerForLife (July 20, 2008 at 8:25 am)
very mediocre Chops (Technique, skill) and fairly poor flam quality, hes double stopping them....

He's a good drummer but we did this stuff at football games in high school.

The thing is he couldn't play on the level of Corps music or with 8 other guys playing exactly in time, you are underestimating the talent and practice it takes to be in a DCI smart one, you try just cleaning 8s at their level with a 9 man snare line
BeatJamiesAssPrds (July 9, 2008 at 2:51 pm)
mediocre
and yes, very overrated
styxspinner (July 8, 2008 at 8:27 pm)
this is over rated
VegatheShadow (July 7, 2008 at 6:41 am)
thats exactly what i think
shadowraven94 (July 7, 2008 at 6:20 am)
he is after all just messin around... saying this is so simple anyone can play it (wich I know is true) is like listening to the best sax player in the world play a scale and say your way better than him because anyone can do that...
shadowraven94 (July 7, 2008 at 6:16 am)
I think Travis Barker is THE best DRUMSET player because he can also play this whole "DCI" stuff, im sure he can play better than this just listen mark said "Travis show us some tricks, just like marching..." he didn't say "SHOW US THE BEST YOU CAN DO!, AND IF ITS NOT BETTER THAN THOSE DCI DRUMMERS WE'LL KILL YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY" he's just showing them some "tricks" not auditioning for best snare drummer in the world... He CAN do better than this, after all it is simple...

Ok, this is how you can tell a drumset player to a marching player. Unfortunately, I don't march snare no more but come on now, my chops may not be up to par with his but I can even do that and I been on snare for 5 years. |
