however, the people that live in nonsuburban area in the countryside are still poor as dirt, they about under U.S$1 a day which i think vietnam is sitll a developing country and still far behind other country like thailand, korea, japan, singapore.....etc.

At least, we are united, not divised into two parts like Nord and South Korea. And trust me, thoses countries hate so much between each other. We need to think in long term. No glory without sacrifice. Vietnam has been integrating to the globalization market. Foreign investors have asked more transparency, therefore the Vietnamese government has realized the need to change itselft and their owns regulations.They were promoted the right for Viet Kieu owning land. you're on the right track brother. vichoco says that viet nam has no human rights yet the government does everything they could for AO victims when america refuse to compansate those lives that they;ve destroyed. viet nam will become a developed country in a very short time we had a hard time developing until 1995 when embargo was lifted now viet nam will enjoy prospering step by step.

Agreed, buddy. Vietnam will be always our homeland like the Jews to Israel, i support the economic and social development. I showed some folks complained about Vietnamese leaders. In fact, the Vietnamese government has already opened the door and has passed new bill like wearing the helmet. Therefore, we see that they were willing to learn and make the progress. As a Viet Kieu, we need to be diplomatic, not be rude and want VN to be the same as any develop country. Steep by steep.

In fact, Vietnam economic is booming, growing so fast specifically in HCM, Saigon or whatever you say it. My only complaint is about the transparency.
