Updated FDA website states; "Dental amalgams contain mercury, which may have neurotoxic effects on the nervous systems of developing children and fetus." and "Pregnant women and persons who may have a health condition that makes them more sensitive to mercury exposure, including individuals with existing high levels of mercury bioburden, should not avoid seeking dental care but should discuss options with their health practitioner."

thank you jllieBeanz...I did not want to get there but I am a DDS and a MSD.... FDA continues to aprove amalgams.. and they have been used for many years... well some people may be more sensitive to metals.. but these techniques are still used in dental schools all vero the world..I will prefer to have amalgams on my mouth.. than nothing... I had a couple of patients from Great britan and they mouth are in such bad shape..
