yusuke-god bless you for posting these videos! I had the great advantage hearing Mingus with this musicians (omit Johnny Coles) in Hamburg, Germany, as a youngster. Long waiting because Mingus had trouble in the hotel and just a few people in audience still awaiting a great concert. And what a concert! One of the last concerts by Eric Dolphy - my man. What a musician, what a human beeing. Listen to the music and you will know everything of life.

Wow, I'm kind of new to jazz. I just discovered Mingus and I am truly taken aback. I like Radiohead alot and heard Mingus is their influence. I never realized what Ive been missing out on. I listen to Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic, Classical, and Indian Classical but Ive never listened to jazz much cept lately. Ive started on Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis and other famous jazzers Ive heard of. I wonder if you guys no any other unique yet really good jazz music I should try out.

Mingus is the greatest of all Bass players, he has taste, speed and is solid as a rock but still doing things you can't imagine until you see them. Mingus = bass god
