Gerry has a great sound, and is a good performer, but I don't like his style. Too slow and soft for me. Eh well. I'll check into Pepper Adams more now, I suppose.

I recently transcribed this song (the track with Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker) and it really is pure genius. And I'm glad that I picked this song to be my first transcription at the age of 14, it's just a truly amazing song by a truly amazing musician. |
