I've got a question... this happens in each music of The Phantom Agony that i listen to on youtube. Why is the sound quality so bad? :S Is it like that on the album? Btw, i love Epica, one of my favourite bands.

"growls just aren't appealing to me" I started to love them after realizing the lyrics, growls match perfectly. In fact, first appreciating the music, now the lyrics is what hooks me.

Exactly! For me I'm more into power, prog, old metal like sabbath and judas priest. I'm into the high energy music, just not the screaming or growls you know? hehe Kamelot, Sonata Arctica are a couple others... Speed metal...eh...it depends on the band...a lot of the bands in that genre seem to be in the category of 'if you've heard 1 song, you've heard them all' lol

Well let me see do you listen to any kind of Power Metal or Death Metal. If so which do you listen to more Power or Death? Me I listen to both. Even in metal so people can't really get into the Death and Black Metal side so they stay more with Power Metal some Prog and even old school metal with more clean singing.

Right, I know they do...and that's fine. I'm just saying that it doesn't really appeal to me. I'm a huge Nightwish fan myself...not sure if that tells much about where I'm coming from here hehe

The growls are what makes it Epica. Many bands use growls and female singers. The Project Hate, Ram-Zet, After Forever to name a few.
