My father fought with in the Royal Tank Regiment with the eighth army, from Alam Halfa to the fall of Tunis. I was born in '48 and as a baby this was my lullaby. A wonderful song.

Not making a statement on WWII. Just on the song. My father fought up from Normandy to the end of the war, and he always talked about how much the GI's loved this song. They used to listen to Deutchse radio just to hear it. I wonder if this is not the very version he and his friends used to hear. I hope so. It is a beautiful song and she has a wonderful voice. I would like to think I am hearing now what he was hearing then.
