He's talking about how the policeman is trying to be like a psychiatrist analying the situation of what happened with the wife but is doing a very good job. It's a sarcastic comment like "great job einstein" for when someone does something dumb even though einstein was really smart. That's what he's doing to the policemen

I saw this film for the first time last night and although I thought it was brilliantly done, I found it to be the most depressing thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I guess its a good thing that it evoked such emotion in me because it got me thinking. But it still made me feel extremly sad and depressed for a long time afterwards. I would still recomed it though.

Sir, you clearly have a major malfunction. English is my second language, and I had no problems understanding the awesome Irish accent that Rúaidhrí Conroy put into that character.
