yea i kno, ive been to south africa and i stayed there for a couple of months and nothing happened to me and i didnt see any crime, and it was one of the most beautiful places i ever been to. its not any more dangerous than LA...

'suppose it's a matter of perspective. I cannot but feel great sadness at the fact that there are people who feel so unsafe they have to leave this beautiful, vibrant place. I, however, genuinely do not walk around fearful. Yes, there is crime and it really does noone here any good. But the point has to made, our level of security is not threatened at every turn that we cannot do anything for fear of being victims. I do wish your friends luck. we will get the crime situation better, SA's strong
