Maniac was only really good on deathcrush. He writes good lyrics and I love Wolf's Lair Abyss and the Live in Milian albums ( and also Skitliv ) but his 1995+ vocals are just fucking awful.
His vocals in his punk band "Bomberos" are very good however.

Nah, he had to die in order for mayhem to gain its "infamous" reputation. Its the perfect simbiotic relationship between a brutal, "lugubre" and morbid history + incredibly dark mood (music) and lyrics what makes Mayhem to be sooo special. Many things would not be the same had both Euro and Dead not died more than a decade ago.
