Oh man, the Learning Channel really blew it with this one. Philip Grabskie obviously read the "Classics Illustrated" version of history. I would not recommend this vid to anyone who desires a grade 3 history lesson of the Templars let alone more detailed knowledge.

A lot of this is so incorrect. Templar code forbade the burying of a knight? Thrown to dogs instead? That's plain bullsh@t. Who made this documentary anyway?

many, the primary leaders of the order were all slain. The remenants that fled were lowly soldiers. there is speculation that there were others of the order that were not captured, shadow players who prefer not to be seen or heard. but by the end they were corrupt, blood thirsty and depraved. the power they had and leading members were not soldiers, they were barons, lords and kings. now capitalism, true capitalism not media talk) would allow them to be masters of all, from money comes money.

Not all of them were killed. The survivors fled to Scotland and reappeared at the Battle of Bannock Burn 7 years later fighting for Robert the Bruce!

if the knights templar kept in hands of a flemish, it would still be active.
