12/17/07 UPDATE - As you may have heard on the news, Shawn Eckart passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at the age of 40. He had legally changed his name to Brian Allen Griffith after being convicted of racketeering (for hiring the hitmen to attack Nancy). Clips of interviews, profiles and footage on on the attack of Nancy Kerrigan at the 1994 US Nationals in Detroit, Michigan. She was attacked at the smaller sized Cobo Arena between the official hotel Westin Renaissance and the main rink where the competition was held. I was with some friends watching the Junior Ladies' Short Program when this incident occurred. What you didn't see here was Kerrigan continuing to cry and started calling for her "papa" and voicing out that she was "so scared." It was a very sad, heartbreaking moment to see and hear her like this.

she looks like she's going to kill Jane Pauley when she asked her about the "Fragile Pysche". Her eyes scare me in that scene. Scare me I tell you.

Yeah whatever, Nancy is so beautiful though,i mean she seems so calm and has a non-complaining type of personality, combined with that breathtaking smile,i can truly feel my heart tear when the pain and the tears appear in her eyes...

Well, in all fairness, had this incident never occurred, Nancy most likely would've won the 94 Nationals, placing Tonya 2nd. As such, Michelle Kwan would've been 3rd and the 1st alternate for the US Ladies' Team.

i think the person that really got the short end in this whole thing was michelle kwan. after all she finished second in the '94 nationals yet because of this garbage, she was unable to go to lillehammer

Tonya wouldn't have prepared anyway, the only years she was training well was the 1990-91 seasons, the rest of the time she was smoking and partying, not very smart, but that was her mentality that she could just show up and somehow win and be out of shape, very dumb!

No, I don't think that she deserved to get attacked. No one does, hence why I said that. I just expressed how I feel, that being that Tonya had more natural talent. So of course, it still upsets me to this day, that someone got away with attacking her, and thus turned the entire 1994 Olympics into a fiasco, and ruined her preparation. xxx

So you more or less are saying Nancy did deserve it because she's no angel???? That's insane. Yes, Tonya was more talented but Nancy put the work in and overcame the attack, she did win in '94 regardless of what biased judges think!

I couldn't agree more, cc4505 has some kind of big hatred toward Nancy, I wish someone would hit them on the head with a police baton!
