i wouldnt really say a sport is wimpy. unless of course its one of those "sports" that barely qualify as sports. but the reason soccer players stay on the ground for so long is probably because they are never ready for that contact. in soccer youre not SUPPOSED to be hit in the face or thrown to the ground. also in my experience it hurts more. while in footbal, youre wearing gear and have it in your head that it IS contact sport and you WILL get hit HARD. so footbal players do know whats coming
