While, by Western standards, Chisato may be "prettier" (read "more traditional Japanese look"), Kaori puts a cutting edge on the song and the instrumental cuts by Kanako and Tomoko make the song BETTER than Chisato's studio version. This was from 1991, before Chisato's illness. I saw this video because, like Makotron, I am a Chisato fan. He suggested I listen to Puri-Puri after viewing this; I now have eight of their CD's. Kaori does have a great voice on ballads to hard rock.

Took your advice and looked at other PuriPuri stuff. I now have six CDs with two more on the way. Kaori has the ability to sing any style from ballad to metal rock and as a group these gals can DO IT! Arigato for the suggestion. (Realize that I don't understand Japanese, but I KNOW good music.)

What is going on here? Is this when Chisato was starting over? I wonder what Kaori is thinking - Kaori has a much better voice, but she has to stand their playing guitar while the Chisato stars because she is prettier.

OMG this video is great! I never knew PriPri ang with Moritaka, good combo! (Moritaka may as well become member #6 ^_^) Is this video on the PriPri Platinum Days box set? By the way, does anyone know where I can buy that box set? All the sites I've went to are sold out.

I hope you do. I'm a Moritaka fan myself and never heard of PuriPuri until I saw this video, which was enough to make me purchase all of their albums and some live shows on DVD. Both PuriPuri and Moritaka are great because they can make their own (great) music :)
