When a system is discovered in any important walk of life that does not provide a check and balance system you can bet that either Politics is involved or theivery is involved. Or in this case BOTH. I can remember Bush looking into the camera and confidently saying "WE WILL WIN THIS ELECTION" Turns out he knew there was no way to lose and his words were those of a theif not a prophet.

It can work, simply have the computer hooked to a printer so that the voter receives a paper receipt that is carboned. One copy goes into ballot box the other to the voter, after they review it is correct. That being said, why have the machines? a)Because it would provide a check and balance system when coupled with the paper receipts. b) A voter can be confident his vote will be counted as he placed it. A very wise man once said "Voters don't decide elections, Vote counters do".

Cool... I live at 1634 Raccine St, Chicago... it open sright out onto the street and there is a series of interconnected fire-escapes out the back door... but that doesn't matter because you can actually climb up onto the windows to get into the living room... It's kinda dangerous really... considering what I do for a living...
