I don't think so. Jack Bruce wrote a large portion of the songs in Cream; add that on top of having a huge ego and I would guess he was the one wanted to lay off the Hendrix tracks. Once Clapton left and started Derek and the Dominoes he covered Little Wing and did a great job with it.

No, I doubt that Clapton was insecure. Jimi played tons of covers, and Cream didn't. The only covers they really played were ones that they recorded on their albums. That pretty much goes for all of the songs that they played live.

Probably. I remember reading that they were friendly rivals somewhere, but I guess it meant more to Clapton.

That's because it's just a jam session.Done on the spur of the moment.Let's compare Sunshine of your love versions instead?

Especially the version at the Royal Albert Hall Cream reunion concert on DVD. Funny how Hendrix would play Cream songs in concert but they never played his? Clapton years later did. Insecurity maybe from Clapton?

Cream does it best. Still, much respect to Hendrix.

The other guitarist I think is Larry Lee.. From the Woodstock shows Jimi's friend.
