Beautifullly done.
I worked on the film for HBO while they were filming in Montana.
Thank you for this.

Also should mention the Animation house "The Law of the Few" they're use of Depth of Field is pretty stunning.Adds a whole new element to that sort of animation.I could go on and on.You should be proud.I have many friends that are not American.Often they get in "Anti American" moods. I always show them a few of these videos and in the end we come to the conclusion that under the hood we are all pretty much the same make and model.Appreciate the comment.
thanks for everything.

Chris Koelle is a brilliant artist. I've actually never met him, as he did all his work in South Carolina while we were in Los Angeles. I'm glad you like the film!
And I'm amazed to hear that the HBO film has been shot, but in New Jersey!
Best regards,

Wow nice to meet you. I met Christopher Koelle ..artist for Men in Black.I first saw the show via PBS in Cincinnati.Fantastic work. This video in particular is one of the most compelling things I have ever seen.Being from Ohio. The landscape and Colonel Strobl's accent remind me of home. Thanks for you efforts.I think you made alot of people really think about the war in Iraq.

Hi,
I was actually co-producer of "Operation Homecoming." There are two versions. A 53-minute version was part of the series "America at a Crossroads" and is available on DVD from PBS. There is also an 81-minute feature version that was in theatres (briefly), is currently nominated for an Oscar, and is available on DVD from Docurama. Hope you can check one or the other out. Thanks!

Actually "America at a Crossroads Operation Homecoming" was a series. Well worth buying the DVD. And I think the DVD also contains a few different versions of the "Operation Homecoming" short stories. At least according to the author of "Men In Black".I'll add the link to the video info.

It's from "Operation Homecoming," which is nominated for an Oscar for Best Feature Documentary, and also now available on DVD.

For me, and I'm sure many others there, it was important, because Chance gave his life to protect other marines in his unit when he drew fire to himself. I was drafted in the 1960's at 18 years old and being a veteran and honoring other veterans is vital.
Chance is but a stitch in a much larger quilt and I am glad he is honored and recognized. I salute you. |
