chuck berry is probably the one i would peg as the inventor of rock n roll. come to think of it...when i was a skinny white kid growing up in the midwest, most of my favorite guitar players were black. vernon reed? awesome. kravitz? living god. hendrix? no PERSON was better than him, white or black. greatest ever

How many of u cats out there r old enough to remember James Brown answer to Awb..He put together a group called AABB..It was a combo of 2 groups of his...Fred Wesley's Horny horns and Maceo and the Mack's..Oh by da way AABB stood for Above Average Black Band...Was James crazy or what?

Bro. u are so stupid..You must be young be cause you don't have a clue..They had a black drummer {Steve Ferone}Who replaced Robbie Mcintosh who was killed in a car wreck after they released their 1st album which had da smash hit person to person..Anyway youngsta AWB transcended race because these white cats played with more soul.. ..Awb were a group mostly made up of white guys that played with soul..It's not black or white it's soul!!Grow da @#*! up!!

I agree. On side note give me: WAR, AWB, TOP, EWF and Chicago and I'm good for life. Life is short the who what when where and why is not important love the music and enjoy your life rather your a $10.00 an hour guy or a millionare. Love, family, friends it's the same for all of us.
