I lived in Arlington Mass for nine months and I will say Amen to that. You are completely correct. She is unfortunately an example of American ignorance. But it's not EVERYWHERE. I'd say most of New England is aware that there is other places other than America. Shame that politically, they all have one opinion and you must agree...

Lets generalise. Works out so well... You can't quantify "most" and "Americans" in the same sentence. There are no most Americans. Take Massachusetts for example. Well educated, well spoken Americans by and large. And if you hate the Boston accent, don't blame them. That's the last trace of British North America in their speech. As for this girl. She's good for one thing ;)
