There have been two different cartoon series with characters named Tom and Jerry. This human duo came first and was created by the Van Beuren studio in the early 1930s. The cat and mouse version were made at MGM beginning in 1940.

khangwashere, I'm proud you came out and told people you were gay, it took alot of guts. This movie however I'm afraid is not gay. I maybe only 18 and never live in the 30s, but I love old BW cartoons, they many of then are more funnier then the onces we have now. I only wish Cartoon Network was like is again, I miss the old old movie classics, Popeye, Tom Jerry (old)and many others.
