Woaahhh! That's a seriously fucked up instinct you've got there! Protection of journalistic sources is one of the very core fundamentals of a free press, and protection from totalitarian society. Just think how many leaks and whistleblowers you will stop from coming out if you expect sources to be revealed. In many cases, the police / justice system / politicians ARE the problem.
