But you have to admit, considering the resources available to them at the time, they accomplished a lot. In 1903, for example, the only way to get color into a film was to hand-paint each frame. In those days, a film frame was 1/16 of a second (now it's 1/24 sec.) That must have taken days in itself.

There was no original music, when a film like this one was shown back in the day, it was accompanied by a live pianist or band.
