So? This was not to prove that electric cars are currently the fastest ones, but to show that for a price way below gasoline roadsters an electric car can provide much better performance. BTW, the only 2 street legal cars faster than Ian's X1 are Ariel Atom (same chassis as X1, petrol engine, 0.1 second faster 0-60mph) and Bugatti Veyron (which costs $2,000,000). Pretty impressive for a $150,000 car!

Now with the Lightening GT production car for £150,000 300 mile range MINUSES: top speed limited at 130mph though and 0-60 4s slower than the enzo.
