Peter you produced some incredible albums for Linda. My eternal gratitude!

Wel, Sheryl Crow is hardly a loser. I think she's fanstastic and one of the few rock acts not only to survive the 1990s but to have come out a major star and amajor talent. And Streisand is amazing. I'll take all 3 of them (Ronstadt included) over Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey or Madonna any day (and I like Madonna).

I sooooo agree!

rivals streisand? linda crushes her outright, she had genuine *soul*. a loser like sheryl crow should have just sought out a job backing up linda to see how it's really done...

Only problem would be that the Clintons would be there...... ugh.

I love Linda Ronstadt, but I think you would have to put Aretha Franklin & Tina Turner way up there. They are legends who persevered in spite of living through some damn hard times. I wish someone would re-post Linda singing this for the Clintons in the 90's. Her voice was still kicking ass.

Linda Ronstadt was the 1st true female rock superstar selling out arenas & stadiums across the world - Not Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Nicks or Diana Ross. She was the 1970s Queen of Rock, hands down. And had a voice to rival Barbra Streisand's. She was the 1st versatile singer of the pop & rock era, succeeding in every genre she recorded in - Big Band, Country, folk, pop, Rock and New Wave. Not even Madonna has done that.

what's interesting, is that it looked like everybody was really having fun, and players onstage were really into it. I got that sense.

Not as good as the live version she did on the "FM" movie soundtrack. That was the definitive version!
