NIST--temperature of fire:assumed not proven- fireproofing torn away from frame structure:assumed not directly observed.-damage to core frame members: assumed and not directly observed. I don't know what happened but the NIST report of the collapse in nothing more than a guess.

Last by not least, HOW on earth can the heat cause any damage on the columns down on the main plane´s impact, if the source of heat was such low (take a physics journey to Madrid´s Windsor Tower), and it only affects on the upper floors...coincidently the only ones that stayed integral during the Collapse... Apart from the structural damage caused by planes on those affected floors the REST of the BUILDING was INTACT, and do your research, this building was designed to last, not to crack.
