1st group from from Britain to hit #1 in the USA, in Dec 62...a little over a year later 4 fellas from Liverpool started quite a run of British songs in the #1 song category

I Remember the Cuban Missile Crisis was at its it peak and I had a bad feeling when I would listen to this song. I was in High School and my girlfriend Susie thought we were doomed and cried one time and I still recall kissing her tears and they were salty, but so sweet. She died in a car crash two years later while I was about to leave for Viet Nam. It was my time to cry. Yes Marines can have their hearts broken.

millwallpaul76. I was a young teenager at the time and everything was much simplier in life. Loved ones have gone but this music will live on long after my time comes. Happy times. Hold on to those memories.

The others are either American pressings or (yawn) CD's.

One of my all time favs. This record along with Tell Me When by The Applejacks, made me desperately want to be a keyboard player as a kid. If only I didn't have 10 thumbs;o) Graet record.
